The Brighton Calender
12th November 2009
Update 2012
Blimey another calender has just come out, Nigel has used five or six pictures of mine this year including three full page shots one of which is on the back page unfortunately they forgot to credit me which is a shame as the back page image is a very striking picture from the Brighton Marathon. I met with the Marathon organisers a few weeks back and it is possible I will be shooting for them next year.
Photographer Nigel Swallow selected one of my images for his famous annual Brighton Calander. Nice to share some printed space with the iconic Guardian photographer Roger Bamber. Roger and I usually bump into each other on shoots a couple of times a year. Roger spends more time working on a master shot than anyone I know, which is great for his final picture but often torture for the people posing in his images, it's always interesting to watch him 'Bamberising' a picture into his inimitable style. Congratulations to Nigel and the crew at the North Laine Gallery they have done an awful lot to support and promote photography in Brighton over the years.
