The Brighton Calender

Photographer Nigel Swallow selected one of my images for his famous annual Brighton Calender.. Being a Brightonophile I'm pleased to be included because the calender is legendary. It's also nice to share some printed space with the iconic Guardian photographer Roger Bamber who has a few shots in the calender. Roger and I usually bump into each other on shoots a couple of times a year. Roger spends more time working on a master shot than anyone I know, which is great for his final picture but often torture for the people posing in his images, it's always interesting to watch him 'Bamberising' a picture into his inimitable style. Congratulations to Nigel and the crew at the North Laine Gallery they have done an awful lot to support and promote photography in Brighton over the years.
