Ice Sculpture.
12th December 2009
Shooting in St Leonards today I met Ben Edson from Hamilton Ice Sculptures. It seems that only yesterday they sculpted the Polar Bear in Trafalgar Square. He had just got back from the Earth Summit in Copenhagen where he did the same thing working alongside the Artist Mark Coreth.
It was really captivating seeing the Angel of St Leonards being carved. Quite rightly the locals were enthralled. Ben and his assistant were such calm and friendly people. it was an astonishing piece of street theatre.

I also bumped into the Photographer Stuart Griffiths who now lives in St Lenoards. Stuart is working with Photoworks on producing a book of his images from Northern Island from the 80's when he was an military photographer. Brilliant to see him he is still a total one off fiery bundle of creative energy. Now married with two kids....
