Bohemians

Bohemians. I am starting a new body of work called Bohemians. An early Whickers World documentary focused on Bohemians and Bohemian life styles, as part of that documentary Alan Whicker came to a small neighbourhood in Hastings called Bohemia to feature "Real British Bohemians". Over the coming weeks I will be collaborating with an excellent community magazine The Bohemia Village Voice and make a series of portraits of real Bohemians in 2010.

Over the years I have frequently photographed in Bohemia Road a somewhat neglected thoroughfare that was once the prime shopping street in Hastings. I'm excited to be exploring this further with the Bohemian Portrait project. The first shows the Village Voice Editor In Chief John Humphreys.
